My College Navigator

As of Summer 2022, Ozarks Tech has transitioned to a new student success model. A part of this model is each student being assigned to a full time college navigator (formerly known as advisors).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who is my college navigator?

All enrolled, degree seeking students have an assigned college navigator. To locate your navigator’s contact information, view your “student success team” page in myOTC.

I don't have a college navigator; who can I contact for help?

Visiting students and students who are not currently enrolled at Ozarks Tech do not have an assigned navigator.  Instead, all new students and all visiting students are assigned to an Admissions Counselor.  To view the contact information for your admissions counselor, view your “student success team in myOTC”.

High School program students (Dual Credit, College Now, Career Center, and Middle College) students also do not have an assigned navigator. Students in these programs should contact their respective program office for assistance.

Degree seeking students who are currently enrolled and do not have an assigned navigator should contact registrar@otc.edu for assistance.

How are college navigator's selected?

You will be assigned a navigator who best suits your unique path here at Ozarks Tech; we use factors like your academic program, admit status, and preferred campus location.

When should I contact my college navigator?

Your navigator can help you plan your semester, access resources, and ensure you are on the right track for graduation! Students should contact their navigator at least once a semester.

Can I change who my college navigator is?

If a student would like to change their program and/or their College Navigator, they should talk with their current College Navigator to get the process started.

If the student is uncomfortable talking with their current College Navigator for any reason, they can email the Director of Student Success for their division or location, and the Director will help them with the process.
