Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) membership is by invitation only. An invitation is to a student’s OTC email address once they meet the following eligibility requirements:

Each candidate for membership must have a minimum cumulative OTC institutional Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have completed the minimum number of college credit hours shown below:

***Grades for courses completed at other post-secondary institutions will not be considered when determining membership eligibility. A cumulative OTC institutional GPA of 3.0 must be maintained to remain in good standing after being accepted into PTK.*** 

Email invitations for eligible candidates are sent 2-4 weeks into each semester (SP/SU/FA) based on the student’s cumulative OTC GPA from the previous semester. Upon receiving the PTK invitation email, there are several ways to activate membership, and details are included in the membership invitation.
