Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is the official honor society for two-year colleges. Membership is by invitation only. To be eligible, students must complete 12 credit hours at OTC and must always have a cumulative GPA of 3.5. Being a member not only looks tremendous in your transcript, but it also opens you up to over $90 million in scholarships that  are only available to Phi Theta Kappa members.

Our chapter competes with 1300 other chapters internationally on community and college-based projects and has placed within the top 10 the last several years. We also host various fundraising events throughout the year and are the prime supporters of the C4 Initiative (Community College Completion Corps) at OTC.

Our advisors are Jo Fritts and Steve Fritts. Every March we select new officers through an interview process. The positions include the president and four vice presidents. The officers attend Phi Theta Kappa international Honors Institutes as well as Nerd Nation, our annual international convention.
