Skills/Abilities:

This position will serve as the receptionist for Student Account Services at the Republic Education Center. This position provides quality customer service to students, parents, and OTC employees. This position is responsible for accepting and posting student accounts receivable payments as needed and responding to student account related inquiries. Other major responsibilities include explanation of student account activity as well as assisting students with online payments, payment plan enrollment, and refund preference selection.

 

Essential Job Duties

  • Assist walk-in visitors who need Student Account Services’ assistance.
  • Receive and assist with incoming student accounts related phone calls and live chats.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and employees.
  • Assist students with online services, as needed, such as payment plan enrollment, online payments, and refund preference selection.
  • Receive, post, and balance daily student accounts receivable payments.
  • Assist with accounts receivable inquiries and provide student account activity explanations.
  • Comply with college policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the college Student Success model.
  • Assist with general office duties such as filing, scanning, data entry, mailings, printing documents, shredding documents, special projects, etc.

Work Experience:

  • One year of cash/payment handling experience.
  • One to three years of customer service experience.
  • Experience working independently and able to work well with others as part of a team.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Enrolled at OTC and meets federal work study requirements
