Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) first helps veterans connect with the right college. Unsure about where you want to go? VUB can help you narrow down your options through career and program guidance and exploration. VUB offers campus visits to local college and the opportunity to talk with faculty and staff at schools participants are interested in. Once a veteran selects a school to attend, VUB will walk through the process, assisting with all the steps through enrollment.
For veterans who opt to attend OTC, Veterans Upward Bound staff will serve as your admissions counselors, making sure you understand the extra steps that veterans have in the admissions and registration process. Veterans can receive a one-on-one orientation, where they can ask questions and get a tour of the campus with a VUB staff.
For eligible VUB participants, any admissions fees such as application fees or official transcript orders are paid for, ensuring there is less of a financial burden for a veteran’s reentry into college.
