Position Description:

Job Title: Social Media Ambassador

Description & Responsibilities:

The Social Media Ambassador creates content for the college, while gaining skills, experiences and connections that enhance their life as an OTC Eagle. They work closely with staff members in the Communications and Marketing Department to help strategically generate content, with a focus on Instagram and TikTok. They provide their perspectives on life at OTC — from academics to special occasions and events — through engaging content that aims to share what the student experience is really like, while connecting the student audience with their peers. They also effectively communicate OTC pride. They brainstorm and conceptualize with key members of the Communications and Marketing team.

Location of Position: Creative Services Building

Campus: OTC Springfield

Reports To: Sarah Bargo

Requirements

Skills/Abilities:

  • Must know and use a variety of social media platforms.
  • Must have strong writing and editing skills, as well as an ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Video and photography skills are a plus.
  • Professional work habits (reliable, team player, willingness to learn)
  • Maintain professional language and behavior standards

Work Experience:

Education:

  • Open to any current OTC student.
  • 2.5 Minimum GPA
