How to apply

 

  1. Apply for admission at OTC Application for Admission.
  2. Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.FAFSA.gov for the academic year & include OTC as a school to receive your results (federal school code is 030830).
  3. Read and understand the Scholarship Application Disclosure Statement .
  4. Complete and submit your scholarship application.

Scholarship Application Periods

 

  • Fall application period:  December 1 – June 1
  • Spring application period:  September 1 – November 1

Articulated Credit Scholarship

Ozarks Technical Community College is awarding 10 new scholarships to students who successfully completed one or more OTC approved articulated credit courses at an OTC approved high school.

Qualifications:

  • Graduating from high school
  • Successful completion (final grade of 80% or above) of one or more OTC approved articulated credit courses at an OTC approved high school
  • 2.0 cumulative high school grade point average
  • Seeking a Career and Technical Education or Business degree at OTC

Value:

$500 annually; up to $250 for a total of two semesters (Fall/Spring or Spring/Fall). Pays towards tuition, fees and/or course materials.

Graduating High School Seniors

Qualifications:

High school graduates whom meet two out of the three criteria:

  • Include school, community or civil activities
  • High School 3.30 cumulative grade point average or higher
  • Rank in the top 25% of graduating class
  • ACT composite score of 22 or higher

Value:

$2,500 annually; $1,250 Fall/$1,250 Spring
Award based on credit hours enrolled not to exceed tuition & fees:

  • 12+ hours    =   $1,250
  • 9-11 hours   =   $938
  • 6-8 hours     =   $625
  • 1-5 hours     =   $312

Renewal criteria:

Complete a FAFSA each year

Maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher at OTC

High school graduates whom meet two out of the three criteria:

  • High School cumulative 3.5 grade point average or higher
  • Rank in the top 10% of graduating class
  • Composite score of 25 or higher on the ACT
  • Seeking a degree at OTC

Value:

Renewable for up to four (4) semesters
$3,000 annually;$1,500 Fall/$1,500 Spring
Award based on credit hours enrolled not to exceed tuition & fees:
o    12+ hours    =   $1,500
o  9-11 hours     =   $1,125
o    6-8 hours     =   $750
o   1-5 hours      =   $375

Renewal criteria:

Renewable for 3rd and 4th semester for students who maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher at OTC

High School Programs Transition Scholarship

Qualification:

  • Graduating high school this year
  • Available the first semester you choose to enroll after high school graduation
  • Earned credit in any of OTC’s programs for high school students:
    • Middle College
    • Career Center
    • Dual Credit
    • Early Start
    • College Now

Value:

Pays for one college credit course (up to 5 credit hours) at the in-district, Tier 1 tuition rate. If you are out-of-district and/or take a Tier II course, you will have to pay the difference in tuition.

Renewal Criteria:

This is a one-time award.

A+ Advantage Scholarship

Qualification:

  • The Missouri A+ scholarship must pay your tuition and fees
  • You must have textbooks/supplies from the OTC Bookstore and charge them to your student account or you have miscellaneous fees the A+ program does not cover.
  • You are enrolled full-time; OTC defines full-time as a minimum of
    • 12 credit hours
    • 6 credit hours for students who have a documented disability and an ADA letter on file with the Financial Aid Office from Disability Support Services
    • You are talking all available hours and the Financial Aid Office approved you as meeting an exception to the full-time rule.

Value:

$500 annually; up to $250 for two semesters towards unpaid book charges or misc. fees. It is non-refundable.

  • Must indicate first-generation college student on admissions application by designating they come from a family in which neither parent/guardian earned a bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrate cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher or a minimum GED score of 2900
  • Minimum of half-time enrollment (6+ credit hours)
  • Seeking a degree at OTC

One school year (Fall/Spring)
Value applies towards tuition & fees

    (if taken before 2014) or 75 or higher (if taken after 2014).
  • 30 highest scores of those who apply will be awarded

Qualifications:

  • Completed the GED/High School Equivalency test within the past twelve (12) months
  • Must be your first time attending any college

Three (3) credit hours
