Institutional Scholarship Disclosure Statement

Awarding

  1. OTC Institutional Scholarships are fall and spring awards. They apply toward tuition and fees, but do not apply toward bookstore purchases. Exception: the A+ Advantage Scholarship can apply toward bookstore charges.
  2. Scholarship applicants will be notified by OTC email of the outcome of their application. Allow six to eight weeks after the scholarship application closes for that application period.
  3. Withdrawing from all classes will result in the loss of a scholarship.
  4. Students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 and  Satisfactory Academic Progress for renewal. Exception: Provost Honors and Dean’s Honors Scholarships require a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 for renewal.
  5. If dropping one or more classes while receiving a scholarship, students may email financialaid@otc.edu to see how dropping a class will affect their award. In most cases, students are not required to return funds; however, future eligibility will be evaluated at the end of the semester to ensure the student is making Satisfactory Academic Progress.
  6. Students receiving outside private scholarships must check with their donor regarding rules and eligibility.
  7. Applicants must be United States Citizens or eligible non-citizens.
  8. Scholarship awards are nontransferable and may affect eligibility for other financial assistance.
  9. A student may receive one OTC Institutional Scholarship per semester.
  10. It is possible to receive an OTC Foundation Scholarship and an OTC Institutional Scholarship during the same semester.
  11. Institutional Scholarships do not include payment for dual enrollment classes.
  12. If a student is receiving financial assistance for tuition and required fees from the Missouri A+ Scholarship, the Institutional Scholarship must pay after A+ Scholarship funding towards miscellaneous fees.
