Here’s a handy way for you to keep track of everything you need to do to prepare for college transfer from OTC. Check off and date the items listed as you complete them.

Request catalog, application, and transfer information from colleges and universities.

Visit the institutions of your choice; arrange a campus tour and speak to an admissions counselor.

Complete and mail the application form with the application fee before the college’s deadline.

Request all transcripts (high school and all colleges attended) be sent to the transfer colleges.  You will also need to request a final copy of your OTC transcript, after you have completed all required coursework.

Complete and send the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Make an appointment with the department advisor at your chosen transfer college to discuss your major and plan your course of study.

Participate in your college’s orientation program. You may be required to take placement tests at your transfer institution. These are often given during orientation.
