  • Submission of official college transcripts is highly recommended to determine courses needed for degree completion and to meet prerequisite requirements for certain classes.
  • If you did not send all high school, High School Equivalency (HSE), or college transcripts when you were last enrolled at OTC, you will need to have these official transcripts sent to OTC.

Directed Self-Placement

Directed self-placement is an alternative to timed placement tests like the ACT; it may be a more effective mechanism for placement in English, math and reading courses that are applicable to your experiences, interests and goals.

With the help of our Self-Placement Guidelines, it will be your responsibility to decide which English, math and reading courses are the best fit for you.  It is important that you make an informed and wise choice about your placement.

Start by reviewing the guidelines below prior to registering in classes.
